Expand servers cost-effectively or build up an inexpensive reserve of coldspare disks & frames: with the Fujitsu 146GB 15k 3.5" SAS HDDs
Would you like to create an extremely cost-effective reserve of cold-spare hard drives? This is possible with these Fujitsu hard drives. Because a hard drive failure can always occur during operation. In order to have an inexpensive alternative immediately available in the event of a hard drive failure, e.g. for bridging or backup recovery, you can stock up on HDDs and HDD frames with this product from our server shop.
The large form factor HDD with a solid 146 GB storage capacity was designed for 24/7 continuous operation and long-term use. The existing caddy makes quick replacement and installation in your server child's play - even during operation (hot-pluggable).
The hard drive and tray are compatible with a wide range of Fujitsu Primergy servers, including the following: Fujitsu Primergy RX100 S5, Fujitsu Primergy RX100 S6, Fujitsu Primergy RX100 S7, Fujitsu Primergy RX200 S5, Fujitsu Primergy RX200 S6, Fujitsu Primergy RX200 S7, Fujitsu Primergy RX300 S5, Fujitsu Primergy RX300 S6, Fujitsu Primergy RX300 S7, Fujitsu Primergy RX600 S5, Fujitsu Primergy RX600 S6, Fujitsu Primergy RX600 S7, Fujitsu Primergy TX150 S5, Fujitsu Primergy TX150 S6, Fujitsu Primergy TX150 S7, Fujitsu Primergy TX200 S5, Fujitsu Primergy TX200 S6, Fujitsu Primergy TX200 S7, Fujitsu Primergy TX300 S5, Fujitsu Primergy TX300 S6, Fujitsu Primergy TX300 S7 (with 3. 5" bays / depending on the RAID controller)

Security adviceElectrostatic discharge (ESD):
Use an antistatic wrist strap or a grounded mat to prevent damage from electrostatic discharge.
Temperature protection and ventilation:
Ensure that the hard drive is operated in a well-ventilated housing to avoid overheating. Monitor the operating temperature regularly, especially in environments with several hard drives. Keep the operating temperature within the values specified by the manufacturer. Protect the hard drive from extreme temperatures and high humidity during storage or transport.
Cable management:
Lay the data and power cables so that they are not kinked, crushed or damaged. Check the connections regularly to ensure that they are tight.
Electrical safety:
Switch off the device and disconnect it from the power supply before installing or removing a hard drive. Avoid contact with the connection points to prevent short circuits. Only connect the hard drive to the power and data connections provided by the manufacturer. Avoid contact with open or damaged cables.
Cleaning and maintenance:
Clean the area around the hard drive carefully to minimise dust deposits, but do not touch the hard drive directly with cleaning agents.
Assembly and disassembly:
Install the hard drive in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions to ensure error-free operation. Use suitable brackets or racks to securely mount the hard drive in the housing. Use only the recommended screws and fasteners to mount the hard drive securely in enclosures or racks. Excessive fastening can damage the enclosure.
Handling:
Handle hard drives carefully to avoid shocks or vibrations, as these can damage data storage. Avoid shocks, vibrations or dropping HDDs as mechanical components may be damaged. Avoid removing or inserting the hard drive during operation, unless it is designed for hot-swap operation.
Transport and storage:
Store hard drives in anti-static protective packaging when they are not in use. Transport the hard drive in shockproof packaging to protect the internal components.
Waste disposal:
Delete sensitive data by securely overwriting or physically destroying the hard drive before it is disposed of. Dispose of the hard drive in accordance with local regulations for electronic waste.
