Why buy new cables when you can also buy used LAN cables? Used and refurbished hardware and accessories are generally much cheaper and also more sustainable. If possible, you should opt for the shortest possible versions of LAN cables. This reduces the ‘cable clutter’ in the office, ensures a tidy environment and minimises the risk of someone tripping over a cable that is too long. In small offices in particular, a shorter cable can be better utilised and also enhances the appearance.
