Is the use of used hardware risky? No, that the devices fail faster or sooner than new ones is a myth that still exists. After all, our refurbished products are professional hardware that has been designed for longevity and reliability. We also thoroughly test the hardware for functionality before dispatch.

We offer various service contracts for anyone who wants long-term protection or would like to get a taste of second-hand hardware and have a ‘backup’. An optional warranty extension of up to 5 years is possible for servers and up to 2 years for notebooks and PCs.

Service Contracts for Servers

Under the category "Service" you will find our optional warranty extensions for servers. We offer three different variants here:

Service Contracts for PCs and Notebooks



With our "Blue Warranty" for PCs and notebooks, we do not offer on-site technician service. However, you can send the device in for repair free of charge – the return shipment to you is also, of course, free. Similar to the Bronze Warranty, this includes a "Pickup & Return Service," which covers shipping, repair, and the necessary replacement parts. This service is available on weekdays (Monday to Friday) from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The term can be up to two years.

Frequently Asked Questions about Warranty Extension

For models where we offer a warranty extension, you will find this on the product detail page under Upgrades or in the "Accessories & Spare Parts" section. Alternatively, you can enter the model in the search bar or select the desired service contract in the "Service" category.

Yes, this is possible. If you decide later to purchase a warranty extension, we will need the serial number of the device including manufacturer, model, and configuration. Please note that a retroactive warranty can currently only be concluded for servers. For notebooks and PCs, the warranty must be purchased at the time of order.

The price depends on the specific model for which the warranty extension is purchased. Spare parts for an HPE DL380 Gen10, for example, are significantly more expensive than for a DL380 Gen8, so we must calculate the prices accordingly. The contract term also plays a role – a service contract for one year is cheaper than one for five years. For notebooks and PCs, the price also varies depending on the model and configuration.

Please provide us with your reference number and the system information (manufacturer, model, serial number). In the case of Silver or Gold Service, we also require the exact location address of the affected system as well as the contact details (name, phone number, email) of your technical contact person or IT manager. An exact fault diagnosis is not required, but we do need a brief description of the problem.

In this case, please feel free to contact us in advance and describe the issue. It is possible that the defective component is a consumable part or simply wear and tear. Please also review our warranty terms to check whether actions were taken that may exclude warranty coverage.

No. Please note that as the user of the system, you are responsible for performing a data backup before requesting maintenance service. If you wish to retain storage media such as SSDs or HDDs before sending in the device or before the technician collects it, this must be expressly agreed upon in advance. We and our partner, STG Multi Vendor Solutions GmbH, accept no liability for damages or consequential damages resulting from data loss.
