The server configurator from serverando.de

To individually configure your perfect server system and ideally adapt it to your requirements, it is important to have a wide selection of different components and models. Below, we show you which individual components are available. This gives you a better overview of all the individual parts and also makes it much easier to navigate our server configurator. In our server configurator, we offer you the following selection of components:

  1. Processor (CPU): The processor is one of the most important components of a server and significantly determines its performance. You can choose between various models from the Intel® Xeon® series and specify the number of cores, clock speed, and cache memory according to your requirements.
  2. Random Access Memory (RAM): The RAM affects the speed and performance of the server. You can select both the model and the amount of RAM that meet your requirements. More RAM allows for the simultaneous execution of more applications or the processing of larger amounts of data.
  3. Storage: Here you have several options. You can choose high-capacity hard disk drives (HDDs) for storing data. Alternatively, you can opt for solid-state drives (SSDs), which are faster and more energy-efficient. You can also choose a combination of both to achieve an optimal balance between capacity and performance. The question of whether to buy an HDD or SSD is answered in detail in our blog post.
  4. RAID Controllers: RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks) controllers allow you to configure hard drive arrays for increased data integrity and fault tolerance. You can select the RAID controller according to your requirements and configure various RAID levels (such as RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5, etc.) for data mirroring, striping, or parity checking.
  5. Network Interfaces: You can select the number and type of network interfaces to ensure the server can connect to your network. This includes options such as Ethernet ports with different speeds (like 1 Gbps, 10 Gbps) and supported network protocols.
  6. Power Supplies: Power supplies are an essential component of a rack server, providing the necessary power for the operation of the server and its components. You can select the number of power supplies and their power ratings according to the requirements of your server configuration. A redundant power supply with hot-swap capability offers additional reliability and continuity in the event of a power supply failure.
  7. Optional: Conclude a service contract: Finally, you can also conclude relevant service contracts for your servers. This will save you unnecessary stress should problems arise with your server. Furthermore, you can save a considerable amount of money, as the server warranty can be extended to up to 3 years. A server failure is usually associated with very high costs.

It is important to note that the exact configuration options can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer and from model to model. Therefore, it is advisable to carefully review the specifications and configuration options of a particular server to ensure that it meets your requirements. We'd be happy to help you check your system. Feel free to contact us via live chat or email. Save your configuration and send us the corresponding link.

What accessories are needed for a server besides the main components?

Besides the main components such as processor, RAM, storage, and network interfaces, a server also needs accessories such as rack rails, cable management solutions, network switches, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), management tools (such as remote management cards), and backup and recovery solutions.

What kind of server do I need?

It's best to leave Companies should consult with an IT systems house or IT consulting firm before making a purchase. Here, your needs will be analyzed in detail, and you will receive support with the hardware purchase. Ideally, you will have in-house specialists or an IT consultant who will not only help you build your IT infrastructure but also take care of maintenance and repairs.

What are the advantages of used server licenses?

Used software offers a crucial advantage over hardware: it doesn't wear out. This means the devices don't need to undergo functional testing, data doesn't need to be erased, and nothing needs to be checked for cosmetic defects, as only the right to use the software is transferred. Similar to refurbished hardware, the advantage of second-hand software lies clearly in the price. Although you receive the same product as the original purchaser, it is significantly cheaper than new software. In our shop, under the category Software, you will find a large selection of used Windows Server licenses, as well as office applications, operating systems for Office devices, and User CALs/access licenses.
