Power supplies and cables should not be used near water or in humid environments to avoid short circuits and corrosion.

Temperature protection and ventilation:

Power supplies can generate heat during operation. Avoid prolonged skin contact to prevent burns. Make sure the ventilation slots are not blocked to ensure cooling of the PSU and to avoid overheating. Ensure adequate distance from other devices to ensure good air circulation and to protect the PSU from overheating. Do not block ventilation slots to avoid overheating.

Cable management:

Lay out power and mains cables so that they are not damaged or pinched. Avoid tripping hazards.

Electrical safety:

To avoid electric shock and to ensure electrical safety, connect the power supply only to properly grounded outlets. Use only power cords approved or tested by the manufacturer and suitable for the country of use. To avoid damage, do not connect cables or use the power supply during a thunderstorm. Do not use multiple sockets or extension cords that cannot support the load of the power supply. Use models with overload protection. Do not exceed the specified load capacity of the PSU to avoid damage or overheating.

Cleaning and maintenance:

Disconnect the PSU from the power supply before performing maintenance or replacing components. If the power supply is redundant, make sure that all cables are disconnected to completely cut off the power supply. Regularly check cables and power supplies for damage or corrosion and replace damaged components immediately.

Make sure the power supply is securely mounted in the case and not loose to prevent damage from shock.

Handling:

Always completely disconnect the power supply from the power source before installing, servicing or replacing it to avoid electric shock. Make sure that cables are not pinched or damaged and use strain reliefs to prevent cable breakage. After use or overload, power supplies should be allowed to cool down sufficiently before being used again.
