The RAID controller from HP ensures fast SAS connections of 12 GB/s, supports PCIe 3.0 and can be used as a cost-effective solution in the area of software-defined storage (SDS). The supported RAID levels 0, 1, 5 and 10 - depending on the configuration - ensure better performance, capacity or data security. If the controller is operated in "mixed mode", it offers exceptional flexibility as it can function as both a RAID and an HBA at the same time. The eight internal SAS lanes enable connections to SAS and SATA drives.
